Greg King, Director of Golf
Director of Golf, Greg King, is a familiar face in the Mid-South
golfing community. He has been a Class A PGA professional for more
than 15 years and is one of the premier teaching professionals in the
region. He utilizes the latest equipment in video swing analysis and
is passionate about raising the profile of the game of golf.
The West Tennessee Chapter of the PGA named Greg the recipient of
the 2009 Richard Eller Growth of the Game Award. This distinction
recognizes the golf professional who has excelled in leadership,
player development, and promotion of the game of golf to all
sectors of players.
Greg has worked at some of Memphis' elite courses including Spring Creek
Ranch and Memphis Country Club. He attended Memphis State University and
was Co-Captain of the golf team his senior year. Before turning his
attention to teaching, Greg won the Wilson Jackson Classic in 2002 and 2003,
won the Tennessee Pro-Assistant three times, won the Tennessee State Pro-Pro
three times, was awarded the Player of the Year Award by the West Tennessee
PGA in 1993 and 1997, and won the Tour America Event in 1997.
Jennifer Jordan, Lead Golf Instructor
Jennifer Jordan was born and raised in Memphis, TN, where she played
Division I golf at the University of Memphis and graduated with a
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education/Exercise Science and Health
Promotion. She played on the Duramed Futures Tour from 2003 - 2005,
and participated in LPGA qualifying 2002, 2003 and 2005.
Before joining the Mirimichi team in 2009 as the Lead Golf Instructor, Jennifer
was a golf instructor on Seabrook Island in South Carolina where she built
both the junior and ladies golf programs through various clinics and golf
learning programs. She has also instructed golfers at New Orleans Country
Club and was an Assistant Golf Professional at Cottonwoods in Tunica, MS.
Her solid teaching skills are focused on establishing goals and objectives
with each student and improving their playing ability.
Bobby Cochran, Instructor/Assistant Golf Professional
Bobby Cochran, a native Memphian, played golf on scholarship at Florida
State University. While there, he won 4 collegiate golf tournaments and
was named ACC Player of the Year and 1st Team All-American in 1994.
In the fall of 2011, Bobby was inducted into the Florida State University
Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding collegiate
performance while attending there.
The highlight of Bobby's amateur career came in 1993 with his
placement as a semi-finalist in the US Amateur Tournament.
He has played golf professionally for 10 years on the PGA Tour
in 2000, the Nationwide Tour in 1995 and 2001, and various other mini-tours
before joining Mirimichi as an Instructor and Assistant Golf Professional.
