Additions and Enhancements

While we were closed, great things were happening at Mirimichi. Here are some of the changes made throughout the facility.

Championship 18

The Championship 18-hole course has been remodeled by Sanders Golf Construction and architect Bill Bergin. Here are some of the enhancements golfers will appreciate on our world class course:

  • Recontoured greens and surrounding areas improved to major championship caliber
  • Improved golf experience and playability
  • Increased consistency of greens and bunkers
  • Increased quality of putting surfaces
  • Moved some greens closer to water, increasing the challenge for accomplished players
  • Entire bunker redesign to reduce maintenance and improve playability
  • Added tee boxes to improve the challenge for all players
  • Increased risk/reward situations throughout the course

Practice Facilities

The practice facilities at Mirimichi were great, but now they are even better:

  • Enlarged by 12,600 sq ft, the practice range tee offers an unparalleled training area hitting to nine target greens and different fairway areas. This expansion of our driving range will also allow our instruction staff a great place for private lessons during peak hours and tournaments.
  • Newly remodeled short game complex and practice putting green

Environmental

Enhancements and additions were made throughout the property to improve environmental sustainability and beautification:

  • Electric golf carts replaced original fleet
  • Water filtration and drainage enhancements to reduce consumption
  • Increased water recycling by tying course drainage to ponds
  • Newly enhanced recirculating creek and waterfall system
  • Reforestation of native trees
  • Additional wildflower meadows, aquatic plants, and landscaped areas
